The reference/ tree (OpenCode, Codex, Hermes, Claude Code 2.1.88, etc., ~0.5GB) was partially tracked (287 files) from an earlier accidental add. Per the "reference is working-copy only" decision (DD §23), this removes all reference/ files from the index (disk copies retained) and adds a root .gitignore rule so future commits never pull third-party / leaked source into the repo.
